Google and Image Searching

This article talked about how you can search "ice cube" and you could get a ice cube picture or a picture of the rapper. I think this related back to digital literacy and how well you are at searching something. I believe this could be a good or bad thing. A good one because a general overall image search might be someone that you wanted. I like to climb so if I wanted to see what the some climbing looked like I could search it and get a general idea about what type of faces they had. But a bad if you wanted to know something specific and you were cluttered with lots of other images. You would have to filter through much more and would be more time consuming. I think this is where digital literacy come in with having the ability to look for sometime and specifically get it.

The really mini computer

Once again, I was reading about apple and the iphone and I come to find out that adobe now is on the iphone. I cannot believe how much the iphone/ipod can do. I'm turning 22 on the 14th and it makes me feel old thinking about all the techonolgy that has come along since I can remember. I remember getting my first cell phone when I was 16. Now, my brother, 13, has one and has had it for quite a long time. I think that its crazy how much one little thing can do. I thought that my ipod was awesome becuase I could play games on mine...let alone read adobe things on my mp3 player.

Iphone

As a verizon and apple user, I am constantly upset by the fact that only At&T users can only use the iphone. This is something that I have come to accept but still hope and wait until they open the iphone up to all phone companies. I read this article that made me think about this even more. This article points out how many more people would use the iphone if they would just open it up. I feel this is a pretty basic idea but still leaves me wondering why Apple did that. The article says that Verizon has more customers that At&T so I do not understand why we do not have the iphone. In the end, I wait past date for rumors that this will be the month that Apple will unlock the Iphone and open it up to me. So far, I have been dissapointed
